OLD TESTAMENT: "I was senseless and ignorant; I was a brute beast before you." Psalm 73:22 (NIV)
NEW TESTAMENT: "But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts they too will perish." 1 Peter 2:12 (NIV)
There it is . . . in both Testaments: my portrait. No room for pride or congratulating God for a fine catch.
But instead of the "catch and destroy" approach Peter refers to, for reasons God alone knows, God caught me and made me His Very Own!
This blog is an experiment. If, like me, you are new to the blog concept, this is a possibility. Here's a point of contact with the other men in this Fellowship of the Caught who are stunned and amazed at the way God reigned us in.
You can offer a testimony, a post, a comment, a clipping or link. We can encourage each other here, and pass along bits of information. For example, we're continuing in chapter 13 this Thursday [especially pp. 127-132]. Emery will again lead our discussion on what to do when the other person is angry.
If you know how to add this blog to your favorites (Mac calls it bookmark) it will easy to check every day. Let's see how this goes . . . what happens if we have this tool to enrich each other's lives every day or so.
Blessings,
Jim
